Whether it be a private party, corporate event, Christmas party, engagement or birthday celebration, The Royal offers unique, versatile and flexible function spaces to ensure your event is a memorable one. From The Royal Botanical bar, The Grand Dining Room, The Garden Terrace, The Club Room, The Wheel Room or the Corner Balcony, our functions manager will happily work with you to design and create your ideal function. The venue can accommodate a range of sit down or cocktail style events for up to 120 people.

Our Spaces

BOTANICAL BAR
The Botanical Bar is a great space for a cocktail party of 60-70 guests. With its vintage, botanical-themed décor, it’s the perfect room for both day and evening events. Booking this space gives you exclusive use of the bar and your own private bathrooms.

THE GARDEN TERRACE

Surrounded by lush plant-life, the Garden Terrace is perfect for a sit down meal or cocktail party for 20-40 guests. This sunny space provides an out-door courtyard atmosphere, but with a louvered roof and gas heaters you can be prepared for any weather.

THE CLUB ROOM

The cosy Club Room is perfect for a sit-down meal with 16-20 of your loved ones. For a cocktail party of 30-40 guests, include a private section of the balcony over-looking Carlisle Street.

PRIVATE DINING ROOM

Enjoy a corporate meeting or formal dining for 8-15 guests in this private space. We offer morning/afternoon tea platters with barista style coffee and variety of teas. Please see our set course menu for a sit-down meal created for any special occasion.

WHEEL ROOM & PRIVATE BALCONY SECTION

Celebrate in our Wheel Room with an exclusive section of the balcony over-looking bustling Norton Street. Perfect for a cocktail party of 50-80 guests, the room provides a private area amongst the happening vibe of our venue. The Wheel Room can also be booked for sit-down functions or presentations/production launches for 25-30 guests.

THE ROYAL BOTANICAL

Boasting spectacular district views of Leichhardt and a unique botanical interior, the Royal Botanical on Level 1 is the ideal space for your next event or dining experience. The Botanical offers a range of high end spirits, tap beers, craft beers as well as a variety of Botanical themed cocktails and cocktail jug.

BOTANICAL TERRACE

Surrounded by more than 100 lush herbs and plants, this is a garden oasis perfect for any occasion. With a louvred roof, this space can be enjoyed in any weather conditions.

BOTANICAL DINING ROOMS

Our 3 dining rooms are perfect for a private celebration, corporate meeting or casual dining. The Grand Dining Room features an antique long dining table seating 15, with the bright and vibrant Club Room seating 20. The Wheel Room with your private section of the balcony is perfect for 
cocktail functions, intimate dinners or meetings. Audio visual facilities available.

MAIN BAR

Located on the ground floor, the Main Bar offers customers a welcoming community atmosphere. With multiple high definition television screens, newly refurbished TAB facilities, and Fox Sports, the Sports Bar is the perfect place to catch up with your mates and follow your favourite sporting events and teams.

THANK YOU so much. All your amazing arrangements worked out fantastically. Thank you for taking all the stress out for me I got to really enjoy my party. The staff were wonderful they were all so very helpful and always eager to assist especially Kat and the lovely Irish i think staff that took the dinner order. The Royal was so very busy but all the staff were always smiling and ready to help. Several of my guests mentioned how impressed they were with the venue and the staff. Thanks so much for all your help getting me to the night. The staff were fantastic - we were very well looked after, the whole evening was seamless. The food - it was delicious - everybody commented on how great the the food was! And the bar - well it didn't run out which goes to show I need to increase my quotient of friends! All in all I had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend you as the perfect place to hold a party. Your service was exceptional and you made everything so easy! I know how difficult it can sometimes be to cater to some of the requests made but you didn’t even batter an eyelid so thank you!

I had a fabulous night as did my guests. The room was perfect for all of us and the balcony was certainly popular for those who got hot dancing and those who wanted to catch up to have a chat.
The food and punches were very popular with everyone the mock-tail in particular was very well received by the non drinkers.
My son in law Kye worked with Danni and the technician to get the sound system going and I really appreciate the effort there, as the music and having a dance was an essential part of the night for me.
I loved the 1956 facts board. Thank you for your help with putting that together it was a conversation point for everyone who read it.
I would like to thank Mary who looked after us on the evening, she was most pleasant and helpful with my and guests requests.
There was another young lady who assisted Mary with the delivery of the canapés she was also pleasant but I did not catch her name.
I would definitely recommend the venue to my family and friends who are looking for a function room such as yours Jacqueline included.
I hope to visit for dinner one evening in the near future.
I would also like to thank you Ellie for your assistance and advice in planning the function. I had rung a few venues in preparation of finding the most suitable place you were the first to get back to me and you had an energy that reassured me and my daughter Sara to stick with The Royal.
I hope you got some watermelon cake, I couldn't get back the next day to pick it up. So asked Danni to offer it to the staff.
