Gin of the Month: 78 Degrees Distillery!

We’re thrilled to feature 78 Degrees Distillery for our Gin of the Month! Founded in 2014 by winemaker Sacha La Forgia, 78 Degrees quickly gained a reputation for its high-quality, small-batch gins showcasing unique Australian characteristics.

Why the name 78 Degrees? Well, 78°C is the boiling point of ethanol, and it's the magic number that allows them to distill their botanicals at a much lower temperature than most, resulting in brighter, more vibrant notes that truly capture the essence of each botanical.

Since moving to its state-of-the-art facility in Adelaide Hills in 2018, 78 Degrees continues to experiment with uniquely Australian botanicals, expanding their range of gins, vermouths, aperitifs, vodka, and even Australian Whiskey. With numerous awards under their belt, 78 Degrees is pushing the boundaries of craft spirits with a distinctly Aussie twist!
